Kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town – Frank “Jingles” Pereira, a renowned Portugal-born South African football player who excelled with the Kaizer Chiefs in the 1980s, has passed away at the age of 77.

His career with the Amakhosi spanned from 1979 to 1984, during which he contributed to the team’s quadruple victory in 1981.

Before joining the Chiefs, Pereira played for various clubs, including Vaal United, Highlands Park, Jewish Guild, and Cape Town City during his 20-year playing career.

His passing was confirmed by Kaizer Chiefs:

“Kaizer Chiefs are saddened to hear of the passing of former Amakhosi player, Frank ‘Jingles’ Pereira, on Sunday, 3 September, at the age of 77.
